I'm a grateful recovered addict and alcoholic.

I always start off by saying that I'm very nervous because I usually am.

This never gets any easier for me.

I am profoundly uncomfortable speaking in front of groups of people,

and yet I find myself oftentimes speaking in AA and leading big book studies and whatnot.

on a Tuesday, what is for me, a rainy afternoon in New York. So we're going to talk about

step 10 and 11. And I tried not to prepare too much because I really wanted to just see what comes.

But, you know, I want to just talk for a minute about my history because I think that that's really important for me to kind of get

centered in how I got to where I am today. And so I started using, I was about 12 or 13 years

old. It was exactly what I was looking for. Nothing felt as good as a drink felt. And it was like I had
