Hi everyone, my name is Madeline and I am an alcoholic.

My sobriety date is November the 14th of 1985.

I'd like to tell you it was a really rough day in kindergarten.

My home group is the how it works group in Happy Valley, Oregon and we meet on Tuesday

nights at 7 o'clock and I'll tell you that it's a happening place because we have AA,

Alonon, Allatine and Free Chalk here going on all at the same time.

So there are a lot of folks who come there because of all the opportunity it provides

underneath one brief on that Tuesday night and they're deeply involved in entrenched

in service and that's why I love them because I'm a geek.

I want to thank the committee for asking me here.

I want to thank the speakers, although I got to tell you I always hate fall in the Alonon.

It's kind of like, and here's the beautiful Alonon and next we have the bar skank.

But you know, and I have to say that, you know, speaking is not something I came into

the doors of alcoholics and I was like, oh boy, I can't wait to do that.

I grew up a neurotically shy child that like shook violently in a crowd and had to sit
