I'm Bob and I'll call like, you're still here, you're the people that used to hear the

term last call, you know, not alcoholics have ever hear that, well, I get to share my experience

on a step that I was also, I've been resistant to all of this, is it so odd that I resist the

things that really light me up and make me happy and free?

I got sober in 1978 and I asked him in to sponsor me and I asked him in to sponsor me who

I met because he brought a meeting twice a week into the detox I was in.

I didn't know that he was a 5% or what I mean by that is I heard in a general service conference

in my early sobriety trustee say that he believed that 5% of the fellowship of alcoholics

on this did 95% of the service in 12 step work and then he went on to say that 5% is

long as they remained a 5% and continue to do it and never drank again and I wanted that.

And my first sponsor was a 5% or he'd been delicate, he'd been in a group, he'd been, he

started the Las Vegas Roundup, the retreat and he was on board for the the nonprofit men's

halfway house, he was, he was the guy in all Las Vegas, I didn't know that when he came

into the detox, I just thought that he didn't have a life, I just let him have life and that's

why he was in there a little that I know he had a huge house up on the hill with tennis courts

and gardens and a pool to spa, two brand new Cadillacs, he was one of the most respected

business men in all of Las Vegas, I didn't know that.
