My name is Ron up in Alcoholic, you guys don't fool around, there's not a lot of things

to read, announcements and a lot of reasons for me to hang out for a while.

I'm really happy to be here for a variety of reasons.

One is I grew up right in this area, grew up in Cedar Grove right over the hill and I graduated

from Cedar Grove High School in 1969 which gives you the idea of my age but I did a lot of

drinking down this way, actually more in Upper Montclair because if you come over Cedar

Grove over Bradford Avenue, come right down in Upper Montclair and I could tell you all

the cool places we used to drink at like 16 hiding behind churches and stuff.

But I'm also happy to be here because I previously organized this as my first sponsor and somebody

who really changed the shape of my life because not only did I stop drinking I actually

changed my perspective, my view, my vision of how my life is to be conducted.

So for those reasons, I'm delighted to be here and I kind of get right into it.

Before I get into the 10th step specifically, let me give you a little bit of qualification

who I am and how I happen to be here in Montclair after graduating in 1969 from Cedar Grove.

Actually, I could tell you I was an alcoholic and one of my sort of defining alcohol experiences

was when I was in Cedar Grove.
