Hi, my name is Sandy and I'm an alcoholic and that was my pager that went off its work,

okay, I'm supposed to call him back but I'm going to let his slide for a while.

This is the worst case of caught in mouth, oh my god, I'm so nervous, I can't believe it.

I guess I should be grateful I'm not a 45 minute speaker, 15 minutes is enough for me

and I'm supposed to tell you a little bit about where I came from, what Sandy's all about,

what alcoholics and on and this is done for me.

I've been sober now for a little bit over three years and my life is 110% better since

I've been here and I can honestly say that.

My story is a lot about isolation, I hear a lot of people share and I hear about a lot

of the DUIs and losing homes and losing jobs and losing families, husbands, wives, kids,

all that good stuff.

I was fortunate enough not to have that happen to me.

I've been losing a lot of material things during my drinking but I lost my soul.

I lost my identity and I never knew what Sandy was all about.

I started drinking at the age of 15 and I drank for 10 years.

Again, drinking was social, it was fun, it was a way for me to fit in with people.

I always felt like I missed it.
