that sponsorship. It just is a vital component as much as prayer and meditation time, as much as

going to meetings. It is a vital vital component to my recovery. So sponsorship, do we still honor

the practice or is it a dying art? And that might seem like a strange thing to say,

but I know so many people who don't sponsor. I know people who choose not to sponsor.

I'm really glad that there was the announcement if you're willing to sponsor and we'll talk

about that in a minute. But the fact that, you know, I've actually been in rooms where I was the

only person that raised my hand, willing to sponsor is a very, very sad thing. What are we passing

on or what are we not passing on? Have we become so soft? Call me when you feel like it. I never

feel like it. Okay. Call me when you feel like drinking. I don't feel like drinking.

And yet, these kind of, this kind of thinking doesn't lend for group creation or solid recovery.

Because I used to think AA was about just not drinking and going to some of those meetings.
