You can see me, hello everybody, my name is Lesley, I'm an alcoholic.

I'm also a recovering crystal methamphetamine addict.

I toss that out only because I'm a very firm believer that alcoholism is the disease.

It manifests itself in many, many ways, thus the plethora of 12-step programs.

I read recently that crystal methamphetamine addiction in West Hollywood, California, is

at the epidemic level and I find that really, really frightening out of the seven-sponsees

that I work with.

They all had not only an alcohol but a crystal methamphetamine problem.

I think in gay men, especially, it gets tied up in sexual urges which is a lethal combination.

So I just toss that out, anyway, people come up to me afterwards.

I realize that I honor that this isn't a meeting of alcoholics and ornaments but I tweaked

a whole lot and when you're 42 years old and still doing speed, it is not pretty.

But I'd also like to welcome anyone who's new and all our attorneys to the program

of Alcoholics Anonymous and I'd like to tell you something that saved my life.

I walked into the program of Alcoholics Anonymous at 42 years of age, I looked around and
