meeting. Hi everyone, my name's Young. I'm a very grateful, recovered alcoholic today.

Good to see you all. Good to be with my international AA family. I think it's Teo and Wendy

on day one. You don't have to drink again. We've got this beautiful spiritual programme

of action, and you don't have to drink again. Don as well. I feel you're paying Don. I'm

grieving today. Don also, and this is the best place to be with my people. I went to a

funeral yesterday, my aunties funeral. She was like my mother to me, and today I realise

I'm thinking I feel different, and I was thinking this is the first time I've ever experienced

grief sober, you know, and it's good to be able to do that. I can do that today without

trying to run away from it, without trying to change the way I feel. And I was thinking

about the last funeral that I went to, and just to remind, like Mel said, my home group

is the Sheffield Big Book Comes Alive Group where we studied the Big Book, this beautiful

text of ours, my sobriety date is the 24th of the 18th. No, the Christmas Eve, Christmas

Eve 2018. That's my permanent sobriety date, as long as I stay close to God and do the

things directed in this book. I was thinking about the last, the last funeral I went to

was my father's, and I was still in the madness of active alcoholism, and I made a real

fool of myself, I disrespected my father, you know, I made people feel uncomfortable,

I downbottled a whiskey, and I know it wasn't me, it was, I wasn't choosing to do that.
