Beth and I'm an alcoholic because of God's grace a and sponsorship I've been

sober since June 26 1988 and my home group is here. We class. One thing I noticed when I moved to

North Carolina, it was very quiet here. You know know it's just quiet and we came from a I got

sober in Cincinnati Ohio in our home group up there we clapped if you got your

name right so it was really an adjustment.

I was laughing when Matt was saying I'm in trauma like it's a good thing.

I was thinking my new girls say that all the time.

But we can help you with that. I want to thank him for his talk. I love having the window here because like when the A.D.

sets in I still look like I'm paying attention.

When he was talking about being the prodigal sun and everything going great, I thought right now would be a great time for the sun to just shine through the window behind them.

I have to work on that. I'm honored to participate

in the first acts of recovery here. I have attended a few up and down the coast and I just I love Alcoholics Anonymous I love any chance for anybody to get to come do stuff like this.

I was introduced to conventions early on and I found the best way I can describe it is that there's an enthusiasm there that you don't always get in a meeting.

When I get to a convention, I'm surrounded by people who are here on purpose, who are enthusiastic and up about Alcoholics

anonymous that on purpose they take time out of their day to do extra things.
