podcast. I am joined again by Leslie Hallick. So if you guys remember a while ago

we had her on as the author of Gardening Under Lights, But now we have her on as the author of

that book and plant parenting. Easy ways to make more house plants, vegetables, and

flowers. So yesterday we talked about a couple different things that you may or may not have to do

to your seeds to improve their germination rate as well as gave you just a couple general tips on

improving germination no matter what type of plant that you're trying to start but today we're

going to go into an area that both Leslie and I are pretty familiar with Leslie

certainly more so than I and that would be lighting techniques for seed links. Now if you remember we did

talk a little bit about this on our last week with Leslie but I think you guys are

going to learn a little bit more in today's episode because of what we've talked about in the previous week. So Leslie, do we want to just

give people a kind of like the crash course on I'm starting some annuals, maybe some veggie seeds,

what do I really need to think about top three things

as far as lighting those seedlings?

Well, the biggest mistake that just about everybody makes when they're a beginner seed starter right especially when you're growing

transplants that are going to be moved into the outdoor garden especially edible plants.

Starting these seeds in your window sill is really a recipe for failure, but it's one that everybody has to go through, right?

It's like a right of passage.
