It's rifle buying time folks and it's pretty obvious by all the questions I'm getting

sent to me on email or via the backcountry hunting podcast Instagram page. What's really interesting to me is that I'm

getting a lot of questions about high-end stuff. A lot of guys that are wanting to buy or custom commission that ultimate backcountry hunting rifle.

And of course that's the stuff that I love.

So I've had a lot of fun answering some of these questions. I want to share a few

of them with you and then I'm going to review what I consider one of well the top two ultralight, extremely accurate true mountain rifles that I've had the opportunity

to use. It's expensive right up front, but it is absolutely superb. As you've probably guessed from the title of this episode, it's Proof Research's Glacier TI rifle.

And don't worry, here in the near future I'll be reviewing the other one of those two very very top shelf rifles and that is Gunworks

climber rifle. Now the proof research Glacier TI that I have here is in 300 PRC. The Climber, the Gunworks Climber is in 7

M. Somme, Short Action Ultramagnum. That's a, you know, the Remington cartridge that was introduced,

geez, nearly a couple decades ago now,

kind of died out and then is slowly experiencing a resurgence in popularity among people that want efficient 7m Magnum performance.

And I need a little more time with that rifle shooting it working with it before I can review it here for you on the podcast

But that's coming up. I'm also going to address a really cool rifle from Browning. I've talked about it before. This one is in

28 Nolller and it's the X-bolt speed rifle paired with Leopold's new burnt bronze sericoted VX3 I scalp.

It's a 4.5 to 14 power with a 40 millimeter objective and it has the CDS ZL turret. That's the compensating dial

system with zero lock that I like so much on Leopold's scope. That is a dynamite combination. Going to be talking about that

one as well coming up. First, as is sometimes my way, I want to read you some listeners
