The show where two dudes who are not quite nerds but not quite noobs, choose a horror movie each week to rate and review.

I'm Brian. I'm on the phone with Ashvin. And today we are discussing our top 10 zombie movies.

We're going to take turns listing our favorite zombie films starting at number 10.

And we're not going to spoil any of the movies.

So you can listen to this episode regardless of whether you've seen the films or not.

We usually do a weird top five and then say like five bonus mentions.

But we're just going to try a sincere

top 10 this time like normal people. Just committing, huh? I think we're committing. We'll see how it goes.

But before we start the countdown, I'd like to talk about criteria. We always start these top five

or whatever episodes with a little bit of criteria

discussion. Did you use any criteria to narrow down this list, Ashfin? I know in our reanimator

episode we were debating whether it would even count as a zombie film or not. Yeah, I know that

that part was hard looking at like the lists of like what other people have ranked is like zombies can be pretty general.

Anything from undead to like infected or just, yeah, some kind of process that brings people back to life.

Like I think we talked about is like the Dr. Frankenstein film, a zombie film.

But no, for criteria, I feel like mostly I was just thinking about what I've like enjoyed and would like like like to rewatch again and would like, yeah, not hate.

I feel like overall like this isn't a genre I'm crazy about.

But I think when looking at the films and the ones that's set out, like I saw some themes around like did it have something smart to say.

Did it bring in like a new tone and did something different um was it like very innovative um and yeah kind of like the production value and

and the makeup as well so uh yeah well kind of just when it went kind of broad there on
