0:11.4	Happy New Year. Let me ask some questions because we're going to get into the Bible here and see how it applies to a very controversial subject.
0:20.2	And that is, what does the Bible teach about
0:23.3	borders, about immigration, about deportation? Because you hear, you know, Jesus was an immigrant.
0:30.9	And it would seem that if you read some passages, you might think it's wrong for a nation to have
0:36.9	borders and deport illegal immigrants.
0:40.5	I mean, as Christians were commanded to love, so should we oppose borders and deportations?
0:47.7	Not only that, but the Bible says that the government should punish wrongdoers,
0:52.7	but it also says to turn the other cheek into love people.
0:55.4	So how can you do both at the same time?
0:58.3	Isn't the Bible contradictory?
1:01.4	And can we enforce laws and love people at the same time?
1:05.9	In fact, what does it mean to love people?
1:09.5	Well, in order to dive into this, I want to give a thought experiment.
1:17.1	It's probably something that's happened to us all.
1:20.0	Did you ever get a text from somebody and you're looking at it and you're going,
1:23.5	is that for me?
1:25.2	And then they text you back like a second later.
1:27.4	Oh, sorry, that wasn't for you.
1:28.9	And, you know, you've probably done that.
1:30.8	I've done that.
1:32.0	You know, you're texting somebody and somehow you get off that thread and you're on another
