| 0:00.0 | Hey deserving listeners, it's just me today. I thought I would respond to an email from |
| 0:12.4 | famous patron Linden in which he asked me the following thing. But before I do that, |
| 0:18.7 | let me introduce the podcast. This is the Psychology in Seattle podcast. And I'm your host, |
| 0:24.4 | Dr. Kirk Honda. I'm a therapist and a professor. This email is from patron Linden, |
| 0:30.0 | famous patron Linden, who runs our Facebook fan group. If you want to join the Facebook fan group, |
| 0:36.4 | it's a fun place to interact with other other deserving listeners. And patron Linden says, |

| 1:54.8 | very few people understand the nuances and many clinicians are actually providing therapy that is |
| 2:03.9 | not only just ineffective but maybe harmful to clients. When I was and I talked about this on |
| 2:10.2 | the podcast all the time when I was at the beginning of my career, I was one of those people I didn't |
| 2:14.5 | know. I knew, I thought I knew about trauma and I thought I knew about PTSD and I thought I |
| 2:20.1 | knew about dissociation and I thought I knew about trauma therapy but I didn't really and I was |
| 2:27.2 | harming clients, frankly. Clients would come to me and I would provide what I thought to be, |
