| 0:00.0 | Welcome into our episode of the PFF College Football Show, Max Chadwick, alongside Dalton Wasserman, breaking down the top 10 defensive tackles in the 2026 NFL draft. Delta, we're finally on the defensive |
| 0:24.9 | side of the ball now in this class, ranking our top tens at every single position. And I'm happy |
| 0:30.6 | because it feels like a very defensive heavy draft. And it's a pretty good detackle class that we have |
| 0:34.8 | here today, too. And it's fun that we get to start with this defensive line group. We have each of our top tens individually here, but it's a really fun group with a lot of different types of players. I think that's going to be the fun part about this defensive tackle class, especially is it depends on your defense and what type of player you need. There's big nose tackles who can stuff the A gaps and stop the run. There's I have more athletic three techniques who can rush the passer. So I think ranking them is a fun exercise. It kind of depends on what your preference is and maybe every team is going to have. I think this is a group where Trevor's team boards are really going to be fun because I think you have certain teams that are going to prefer, hey, we need this, we need a big run stuffer, we need a three tech pass rusher, we need just something that fits our defense a little bit better. So I think a lot of people's rankings with this group specifically are going to look a lot different. Yeah, we have 12 different names to give to you guys here today as I believe at least 12 because I think we have two different ones in each of our top 10 list. So maybe my math is correct right there. But a lot of guys to break down for you guys today. And we're going to use a lot of PFF stats to break down those guys. And all those stats, of course, are available to you guys right now with the PFF plus subscription at subscribed.pf.com. And you get it for 25% off with the promo code PFF CFB 25. All right, Dalton, let's dive into |
| 1:48.5 | our top 10 D tackles in the draft. Give me your number 10 through six. Number 10, I've got |
| 1:54.0 | Skyler Gil Howard from Texas Tech. Number nine, Dante Corleone from Cincinnati. Number eight, |
| 2:00.7 | Darrell Jackson Jr. from Florida State. Number seven, Graysonleone from Cincinnati, number eight, Daryl Jackson, Jr. from Florida State. |
| 2:02.8 | Number seven, Grayson Halton from Oklahoma, and number six, Dominique Orange from Iowa State. |
| 2:08.2 | So my 10 through 6, I have Dante Corleone, the Godfather from Cincinnati at number 10. |
| 2:13.7 | Darrell Jackson at number nine from Florida State. |
| 2:16.0 | I have Chris McClellan from Missouri at number eight. |
| 2:19.9 | Ray Sean Benny, the D tackle out of Michigan at number seven, |
| 2:23.2 | and Grayson Halton at number six. |
| 2:26.0 | So first off, Dalton, let's start with the guys that were not on my list, |
| 2:29.9 | that were on your list, and the guys that also were on my list that were not on your list. |
| 2:34.6 | Tell me more about Skyler Gil Howard, the detackle, the other detackle out of Texas Tech. Man, I'll tell you, I wish he would have gotten to play this whole season at Texas Tech because the first half of the year when he was playing before, I believe it was a torn ACL that he suffered, right? Yeah. I mean, you talk about an explosive player on the inside |
| 2:52.0 | with fast hands, and he plays such a violent brand of football. You can line him up anywhere, |
| 2:56.2 | but in the NFL, he's probably a three technique in an even front. You talk about a guy. |
| 3:01.1 | I think the hard part with this class is not a ton of guys with proven pass rush production. |
| 3:06.4 | Schuyler Gil Howard has that either at Texas |
| 3:08.3 | Tech this year or even his previous days at Northern Illinois where he just absolutely dominated |
| 3:13.1 | Mack offensive lines. I think you talk about hand usage, you talk about quickness. His hands are |
