Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our official list for our top 10 albums of 2025 so far.

This is specifically for the rap genre.

It's been an interesting year as far as the underground goes.

And I'm going to say the same thing I said for the song lists.

When you really look at what's going on this year, the mainstream has kind of been stale when it comes to releases.

There's maybe been a handful of mainstream

releases that have actually came out, let alone been good. So when I was compiling my list,

it was interesting because I had so much fun making this list. When I was looking at what was

coming out from the underground or from even previous artists that I used to love that maybe

got a bit stale with their music

and that made a huge comeback in 2025.

It was cool because this is a list that I've never put together before.

This is one of my lists since covering NFR or doing my coverage on the hip hop genre where I feel like,

wow, okay, like this is open season for hip hop artists right now.

Yeah, I almost felt like turning this list into like top 10 underground rap albums of 2025,

just because sure I do have some mainstream releases, but I almost want people to know going into this that like,

this is really the underground's year for hip hop and that's where your focus should be, you know, geared towards.

Like, forget about waiting for Rocky.

Forget about holding your breath for certain artists that are either going to drop an album

that's going to be forgotten within a week or are going to tease an album that's going to come

in two to three years from now.

You know, that's kind of what the sentiment is with a lot of new releases.
