Talking about my top 10 albums of 2018. What we do here every week on the podcast is take an album of

music, talk about what makes it great, try to have the conversation around the music that fans do,

and we cap it all off with a track-by-track review. But this week is going to be a little bit different.

This is our year-end episode in which we sit down and talk about, you know, this is the great album.

So let's get contemporary and talk about some albums from the last year.

Yeah, yeah, that may in time become great albums themselves. Has, uh, was Father

John Misty on, no, because that was 2014? 15. Was it 2015? Was it on your list from 2015?

It wasn't. And the reason why it wasn't was because I, it took, that album took me a little

while to kind of get into. Because we talked about that. We talked about it last year. And I, you that album took me a little while to kind of get into because we talked about

that we talked about it last year and I you know and maybe pure comedy didn't necessarily deserve to be

the top but that's like you know when you give the Oscar right you know like Scorsese shouldn't

have gotten the Oscar for the departed he should have gotten it for it for, you know, like Raging Bull, you know, 25 years before that. But it's kind of like, you know what, I just,

I want it. And pure comedy is excellent. I really do enjoy it. I still listen to it a lot. But I kind of

wanted to offer him up a little bit of a course correction. Like, yep, that last one that was totally on me.

Because even our guest for Father John, when we did that episode, Renee, was like, how could

you leave that off the list?

You know, in that time, I was like, I don't know, I just didn't really get it.
