We're going to be talking about the blood scandal in this section of the show.

We're going to speak to Michael Imperato, legal consultant with Watkins and Gunn solicitors,

represented quite a few of the victims' families, of course.

We've got much, much more to do as well this morning, because I'm asking for not just an apology from Rishi Sunak,

who doesn't really have to apologize, I don't think.

I'm sure it's welcome from the victims and the victims' families.

But what about the NHS?

If you've been dealing with the NHS over time,

you will know that it's got an awful lot wrong with it.

And one of the reasons why this blood scanner was allowed to get as bad as it got was because of the NHS.

I've got a friend whose wife was going in for some surgery this morning.

He's missed the deadline for getting to the hospital, of course.

It turns out the train was delayed at 6.15.

Had to get a taxi.

It cost 20 quid.

Got to the hospital, got told, oh, we've delayed the operation,

did nobody tell you? No, nobody told us. And that's what goes on all the time every single day.

And my belief is that if it wasn't for the NHS and it's completely utter negligence in this case,

the blood scandal would never have got as bad as it did. Let's talk to Michael to find out what he makes of it.
