0:15.8	Too Little Too Late. That's the perfect summary of Second Chronicles 34 to 35.
0:20.3	You see, after years of breaking God's covenant, he finally decided to give Israel what it wanted.
0:26.0	If they wanted to worship the idols, they could have their idols.
0:30.0	If they wanted to be like Babylon, they could go live in Babylon.
0:34.1	It shouldn't have surprised anyone.
0:36.1	Almost a millennia earlier, God rescued the Israelites from slavery.
0:40.7	He brought them to Mount Sinai, and on that mountain he spoke to their representative a man named Moses and he gave Moses a set of laws which included blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience.
0:54.4	And those curses included exile.
0:57.2	He told them 1,000 years before this that he would allow a foreign nation to carry them off
1:02.1	if they carried on worshipping idols.
1:04.8	But here's the strange thing.
1:06.7	God was slow to anger.
1:08.5	For almost 1,000 years the Israelites failed him.
1:11.7	They worshipped Ashera and Molak and bail. They sacrificed their
1:15.2	children to gods. They stole. They committed adultery. They coveted. They
1:19.4	broke his laws. And they broke his heart. But every time God sent them prophets, he warned them to stop.
1:27.0	If they didn't stop, he let them suffer for a time until they cried out to him. And they cried out he never stayed the course he
1:35.0	always relented he always rescued them for 1,000 years he extended grace
