0:16.6	Judah is also known to be one of the most detestable kings. His name was King Manassa and as we read the account of all he did it comes in
0:27.2	stark contrast with his father Hezekiah. Chapter 33 verse 2 of 2 of Second Chronicles, tells us,
0:35.0	and he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord
0:38.0	according to the abominations of the nations
0:40.4	whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.
0:44.0	And what he did certainly was evil.
0:47.0	What follows is seven long verses filled with descriptions of the horrible things King Manassa did.
0:54.0	He built altars to false gods.
0:55.8	He worshipped creation.
0:57.3	He sacrificed his sons to false gods.
1:00.6	He worked with fortune tellers and mediums and he filled the temple of the Lord with pagan idols defiling God's holy house.
1:08.0	In verse 10 we read, the Lord spoke to Manassa into his people, but they paid no attention.
1:15.0	Now we get very little detail here of what the Lord says, but in Second Kings
1:21.0	we're given an expanded version of what is said here.
1:24.7	The Lord said through his servants the prophets, Manassa, king of Judah, has committed these detestable
1:30.2	sins.
1:31.2	He has done more evil than the amorites who preceded him and has led Judah into sin with his idols.
1:37.0	Therefore, this is what the Lord, the God of Israel says.
1:41.0	I am going to bring such disaster on Jerusalem in Judah that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle.
1:47.5	I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab.
