Summary

This week, Katherine's Telling Everybody Everything about teen boundaries being broken abroad. Who's in the wrong when a parent's boundaries have been rewritten by the adults on the ground? Bobby and Katherine decide last minute to take the smaller kids away for a luxury holiday in Crète, and Katherine narrowly (or not-so-narrowly) makes it onto the flight home having forgotten she needed a fit-to-fly letter. Is luxury travel even possible with toddlers? Katherine wants to get into hotel management and fix a few bugs in that department. Also, a listener letter who questions which approach to take at her cousin's upcoming wedding: Queen of Serene or PETTY REVENGE. Hello and welcome to another episode of telling everybody everything. It is Wednesday the 13th of

August. Summer is nearly done. Back to school is on the way, though it probably doesn't feel like it

if you are home with your children for weeks on end. Fred and Fana go to this lovely nursery that

I am able to tell you about as soon as Fred starts

reception. We then have to move Fenna out of the lovely Montessori nursery into the nursery

class at Fred's reception because they are each other's comfort blanket. They are best friends.

And I am very sad to move her out of there. But the good news is,

as soon as I do, I can tell you where it is. And then I just think a lot of you will drive to take

your kids there. It's 20 minutes away from us. And like if it was 40 minutes, I would still take them

every day. I love it. And it goes all summer long. And a lot of Fred's friends have

like quote unquote graduated and they're taking the summer off before starting reception.

I just don't think we can do that with Fred. I think we have to keep him in the routine of going

three days a week to the loveliest reception, a nursery bridge possible. So he's, you know, ready for school.

And they talk to him about his school. They're so wonderful there. He comes home and says stuff to

us about his new school that we didn't know. Like they've got the, like, the motto of the school,

the ethos. They know the name of the school. They teach him.

And like, we're scared to talk to Fred about his new school because we don't want to upset him. But then he'll come home and he'll say, Mom, do you know what school I'm going to next year? It's called this. And my teacher's going to be that. And they're going to teach me this and this. And I was like, great.
