Hey, so the great and incredibly influential screenwriter William Goldman died last week.

He was an enormous influence on me, both the way he lived his life as a screenwriter and his work.

And this week in celebration of William Goldman, I wanted to air two episodes that have

aired before, the most recent Tony Gilroy episode and Scott

Franks episode of the show, because both of those guys who are two of the finest screenwriters of their generation

were not only influenced by Bill but were mentored by him and held him up as a paragon of what the modern screenwriter should be.

So enjoy these interviews and I think Goldman's name comes up in both, but even if it doesn't, know that I spent many hours talking to both these guys about Bill Goldman and about what makes him special and great.
