organizing not just for this election

But in the years to come and the reason to organize is not just to win an election.

It might sound overblown to refer to what we're going through in this period as being a cultural war.

I think we use that term too lightly and not having been in war,

but having been around some who have.

The harrowing tales they tell. So just to me tells they tell

suggests to me that maybe we shouldn't use a word

that diminishes the import of what

those men went through.

But it is a pretty nasty battle,

and the stakes are very high.

And I sense that our side is disheartened.

And that's what worries me most.
