Welcome back for Justice League of America number 26, the May 1984 issue entitled Hell on Earth,

colorist, Alan Gold, editor, with the cover by former editor Ross Andrew and Dick Giordano.

We start off this issue with Hellraiser.

The demon released by Gravesend and the last issue celebrating his freedom from perdition,

doing what all demons do when they celebrate burning shit around them and unleashing tinier, weaker demons that annoy people. In this case, though, we have Hot Girl, Green Arrow, and Black Canary watching what's going

on. Green Arrow even breaks out an extinguisher arrow to try and put out the flames. You know,

you broke out the boxing glove arrow of the last issue. He gets a discount from his novelty arrow creators for the arrows that he brings in.

But the problem is he's got to order a wide selection.

So if he doesn't use all of them, he doesn't get that discount.

Hence why he's carrying a boxing glove arrow or extinguisher arrow in the first place.

But an extinguisher is extinguish...

blah blah blah.

Calm down.

The extinguisher arrow is not enough against hellfire, such as Hellraiser has.

And the fact that the demons Hellraiser has brought with them

can choose when to be tangible or intangible, hence making it hard for the

league to hit them with numtucks and arrows, but making easy for them to grab the leaguers.

Zatana, though, figures out what to do by destroying the cauldron that Hallraiser came out of.

You see, Hallraiser still needs to be linked to perdition in order to have power.

So he needs that cauldron as that physical link between him.
