Tom versus the JLA number 219 or if you ever meet me and I'm rude to you, it's because you met Earth 1, Tom Cateres.

0:08.4

Welcome back for Justice League of America number 219, the October 1983 issue entitled Crisis in the Thunderbolt Dimension Part 1.

0:17.8

It's two-parter, Justice League League of America Justice Society of America Meetup.

Written by Jerry Conway in Roy Thomas. Jerry Conway's back. He couldn't stay away for long. Art by Chuck Patton in Romeo Tengal. I really like the Chuck Patton art in this. John Costanza's letter of Gene DeAngelo, Colourist, Len Wean, editor with a cover by George Perez. There's no official roll call in this issue, but I'll mention everyone as they pop up.

We open with a really cool... by George Perez. No official roll call in this issue. But I'll mention everyone as they pop up.

0:39.7

We open with a really cool beginning, as the narration is sort of from the point of view of some

new villains on Earth One. What do you do when you become a villain? You get jumpsuits, tight ones,

1:15.6

You know, you got Jay Garrick coming from one side.

1:17.6

You have the Flash, Barry Allen, almost said the Flash as if Jay Garrick isn't the Flash,

1:22.6

coming from the other side, and our villain in the center, shooting at the Fl flashes, of course, doesn't matter.

1:28.7

These are happier times, so not only did the flashes beat these bad guys, but they do it in

1:33.8

style as Jay Garrick deflects a bunch of bullets into a nearby wall spelling J.S.A.

1:38.9

Barry Allen, not to be outdone, deflects his bullets to cross out the ass in the middle and put

1:42.8

the L in a represent. He's got to represent his crew. Don't pay attention to the fact that these wildly deflected bullets hit a wall no more than probably, I don't know, a foot away from some innocent police officers. They know what they're doing, though. It's the flashes, of course. They never let the police officers get hurt while they're showing off.

2:01.0

They take out the villains. We get a nice reminder of the fact that the Earth 2, Justice Society members,

are fictional characters on Earth 1 as some of the bystanders say that they sort of recognize
