Welcome back for Justice League of America, number 218, the September 1983 issue entitled

The Price of Humanity Written by Carrie Burkett, Chuck Patton and Romeo Tangala, the artist,

John Costanza Letter, Tony Tolan on colorist,

Len Ween editor with the cover by Howard Bender and Dick Giordano.

That is sort of a confusing cover. I don't quite understand what it has to do with the story,

but it also sort of features the cover from the last issue in an odd way.

When you get a chance, take a look at the cover.

Quite interesting, your roll call for this issue is Aquaman, Black Canary, and Longaddy Man, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Red Tornadoes, Superman, and Wonder Woman. And I'm going to start off by saying I enjoy this issue quite a bit, actually. I think Carrie Burkett, actually, that has a really good job. If you're unfamiliar with his work, I believe he also wrote a lot of the Nemesis backup stories that were

in the Brave and the Bold, you know, nemesis, the guy who's a master of disguise. He did a lot of those. At

least that's where I recognize his name most clearly from. I enjoy this issue. He did some nice, cool character stuff, gives

an old villain a new look and a new purpose, and it's fun. The pacing's a bit off, and it

rushes towards the end, but still pretty decent. We open on the sideline with Hawkman and

elongated man engaging in some old, well, old

fashioned us, new to the time, video games.

As an elongated man has convinced Hawkman to program the satellite computer with video

game action.

Alongated Man extremely good on it because he stretches his fingers out to hit all the buttons

on the keyboard quickly.

Wonder Woman shows up.

Cool moment of Hawkman actually sort of embarrassed that he's playing video games with Longaded

Man.
