Tom versus the JLA, number 185, or do you think there's any chance of a crossover with the Fonz?

Welcome back for Justice League of America, number 185, the December 1980 issue entitled Crisis on Apocalypse, or Darkside Rising.

and The New Gods, featuring Big Barter Metron,

This is the conclusion of our annual JLA, JSA crossover, the 1980 edition, and we open with

Metron traveling in his Mobius chair through a boom tube,

and we get an awesome two-page spread from Mr. Perez, featuring Metron, slowing down

when going through the boom tube so he can see all the events that have been going on.

Nice little catch-up for the rest of us. We see how the league's been divided up. Some of them were attempting to stop Darkside from being resurrected. Some of them found the high father. Some of them ran across a PowerPoint presentation of Darkside showing what he's going to do with Apocalypse, which apparently is replace Earth 2, thus destroying

Earth 2. I do have to say, though, as I turn the page from that first page, is it's nothing

to do with the comic book, but it is the weirdest thing in this issue. Of course, in old comic

book's the best part besides the great story in art are the

fantastic ads. And there's an ad featuring the Saturday ABC cartoon lineup. One of the cartoons

is apparently something called Happy Days Gang, where the characters from Happy Days time travel

with the fons to different times to fight dinosaurs

and so forth that concept itself has really bothered me the last 24 hours since i read this issue

and it stuck through me through the rest of the issue i suggest if you really really want to get into this issue, skip that ad because that's all you're
