Welcome back to the Flash number 258, the February 1978 issue feature your cover,

penciled by Rich Buckler, inked by Jack Abel, freaky cover.

It's anything with a skeleton flash and it's going to make the inner child in me cry,

inner imaginary tears. And those are the worst tears, the most bitter, the most salty are the imaginary

tears of my inner child. The issues edited by Julie Schwartz, and the story in this issue is

the day flash ran his last mile, written by Carrie Bates with art by Irf Novic and Frank McLaughlin,

colored by Jerry Serb, lettered by Milt Snapping. And it features the black hand. The old black hand.

Now, we've seen a lot of black hand in current continuity with Blackest Night, but this is the old

slightly lighter black hand, the one who says clichés and

talks to us, the reader. Not quite so dark. But he's a Green Lanternville. How does he get

wrapped up in this? Well, we'll see. Just wait a second. We begin in Coast City, home of Green Lantern

at the Coast City Museum that is apparently designed by the same architect that made the

Central City Bowling Alley, which is a giant orange building, little tiny doors in it.

Nothing else.

No windows, nothing.

Maybe it's so modern, I don't understand.

Maybe I'm a classicist, and these modern buildings confuse me.

Coast City Museum doesn't just look modern in the outside.

It has modern sculptures on the inside.

You know, the stuff that confuses people.
