Tom versus the Flash number 179 or do you think Dan Didio can put together a cosmic treadmill?

Welcome back to the Flash number 179, the May 1968 issue entitled The Flash,

Fact or Fiction, written by Kerry Bates, penciled by Ross Andrew, inked by Mike Esposito, edited by Julie Schwartz,

featuring a cover by Ross Andrew, and Mike Esposito, Carrie Bates, this is his first issue of writing

the flash. He would go on to have an extremely long run on the flash, going from the early 200s

all the way to the end of the series. This is his first time writing it.

He won't write another one until his big run starts, but it's an interesting little tale.

I'll have to look up and see what the difference between those two books are, but apparently

there is some sort of hefty difference.

We start at the Central City Police Department Laboratory,

where it's an average day.

Barry's in the lab working.

He starts hearing this weird whirring noise.

He opens up the door to see a sort of psychedelic nightmares here refers to

it. It looks like some sort of demon in the middle of a tornado throwing wind around knocking

cops everywhere. It's multi-colored. It's crazy looking. The whole place is a disaster. He throws

on his flash costume after running back into the lab quickly. He was running out of wall, apparently, so no one can see that he just became the flash.

And he's going to take this thing right now and start directing its wind at him.

He's trying to run at him to punch it, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.
