Welcome back for the Flash number 165, the November 1966 issue entitled One Bridegroom Too Many.

Written by John Broome, penciled by Carmine Infantino, inked by Joe Giella, and edited

by Julie Schwartz featuring a cover, penciled and inked by Murphy Anderson. This story is reprinted

in the Flash number 328 and in the Flash, the Greatest Stories Ever Told. We open with a

standard scene in Central City of some not-too-intelligent

thieves deciding to make, as they say, a night withdrawal from the bank. One of them is named

Pee-wee and the other one Longo. This will not be successful for them, I am predicting.

Bank thief by the name of Pee-wee thinks that Central City is the place to be pulling these type of jobs? Of course, the inevitable happens. The Flash shows up. They pull their guns. They start firing at him. Flash is vibrating right through the bullets. But then we get an interesting moment is the Flash isn't even thinking about the robbery. He's got other stuff on his mind. He's thinking about whether or not to tell Iris that he's the Flash. You know, remember a couple of issues you go, you promise you tell her when they're getting, when they got married, they're getting close to getting married. In fact, they're getting married the next day. The Flash is so distracted by this. I do love this, but who hasn't gone to work thinking about personal problems the entire time

and getting distracted, and this kind of work for the flesh? I mean, a guy named Peewee, he doesn't

need to focus his whole attention, or does he? Because Peewee gets in, well, actually, Longo,

what kind of name is Longo, gets in a sucker punch on the Flash, knocking him down,

while the Flash is distracted.

Thinking about Iris.

Flash all of a sudden realized I got to get my head into this game, gets up, runs long

going to a wall, starts spinning like a top, taking out the rest of the crooks, bringing

them to jail.

And he starts heading home and he gets back into his thoughts.

The wedding is tomorrow.

Everything is going smooth except this problem.

Does he really tell her that he's the flesh?

I mean, it might shock her.
