Tom versus the Flash number 147 or someday I'm going to move into a cave of my own.

Welcome back for the Flash number 147, the September 1964 issue entitled Our Enemy the Flash, written by John Broome, penciled by Carmen Anfantino, inked by Joe Giella, and edited by

We open in a nice park area. There's some trees around. Iris and Barry having a nice conversation.

It seems that they're about to meet the Desmond's for

some sort of double date, Al and Rita. Now, you might not remember Al Desmond. He has appeared

in Flash Comics before, but way back when it was in Showcase. Al Desmond is Mr. Element

and Dr. Alchemy. Remember, he had lots of mental problems, split personalities, lots of

criminal actions going on because of his unbalanced. But he went to prison, he's out now,

he seems to have reformed. Barry says that he trusts him completely and he's sure he's never

going to go back to a life of crime. Irish just seems excited that they'll have a couple to hang out with. Women love

the couples, you know, having couples to hang out with. I guess I do too and be nice. I don't think

Barry can be bothered with it. We see Rita and Al walking up. Barry does not start this double

date off well. He says greetings you people. I have said hello

to lots of people. I've said hello to groups of two, groups of three. I've never said greeting

zoo people when they've walked up already off on a bad foot. Everyone seems to ignore it though.

They're hungry. They're going to walk over to the restaurant they're going to do best name for a dc restaurant steak

palace got steaks there i would eat at a place called steak palace everyone's excited the ladies

are chatting barry and all are talking of course barry doesn't bring up any of the unpleasantness

with mr element but he's thinking you know this is the only guy who ever fought the flash and then

reformed and turned good.

So this is a nice thing.
