This is being edited by Jack Schiff, and our Aquaman story is Aquaman's new partner,

Aquagirl, written by Jack Miller with art by Ramona Frayden. This is not the first time we've been threatened with an aqua girl. Now, in the last showcase, we had another story about it. This is not the same aqua girl, and it is not the aqua girl that people would think of when you'd mention aqua girl. So the threat keeps being made over and over and over again. We begin, Atlantis, ancestral home of both Aquilad

and Aquaman. Aquaman Aquilad are there. Aquaman's brought Aquilad down because Aquilad has been sick,

and the purified water of Atlantis will probably help him get healthy faster. The leaders of

Atlantis want Aquaman to sort of

hang around. They're much friendlier with him. He's taking care of that Pomoxis thing many times.

So he's just sort of hanging around. And while he's hanging around, he picks up a new front.

A young lady by the name of Selena, who is Atlantis's most daring girl athlete, not woman athlete, girl athlete, quite the

swimmer, and she's taking a fancy to him. Some Atlanteans are noticing what's going on, and there's

Aquilad in a hammock, sad. All Atlanteans sleep in hammocks, just looking what's going on. And as

the random pastor by Atlanteans mentioned, usually, Selena only really

has eyes for Merlin, another Atlantean, but he just never pays attention. As they say, he never gives

her a tumble, which sounds like a euphemism for sex, which makes me wonder about the

Atlantean male-female relationship. Shortly after Aquaman's made this new friend,

Aquaman comes over and tells Aqualad that the Atlanteans have given Salina special permission

to leave Atlantis to become his new assistant while Aqualette is recuperating. Of course,

Aqualette's immediately freaking out that he's going to get replaced by this hot chick who

swims better than him,

probably smarter than him. He's just sitting there in a hammock with a pillow worried. He watches
