Welcome back for Aquaman in Aquaman number three, the May June, 1962 issue feature cover by Nick Cardi,

with the issue being edited by Jack Schiff, and our Aquaman story is the Aquaman from Atlantis,

featuring art by Nick Cardi.

We begin Aquaman Aquilad on patrol, riding their porpoises through the waves when they notice a

lantern fish giving off a SOS signal, sort of a beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. I'm doing sound,

but this is light that the fish is doing because it's the lanternfish.

It's not a beeping fish. Well, Aquaman realizes this means that there's trouble somewhere.

He signals back to the lanternfish. I don't know why I didn't just go up to it and talk to it,

but he signals back. Lanternfish signals back that the SOS is coming from Atlantis,

the ancestral home of Aquaman's mother. They must go to

Atlantis immediately as they're swimming up to the giant domed underwater city. A representative

from Atlantis swims out introducing himself as Pomoxis, who's been sent to deal with Aquaman.

Aquaman's warning with the promise. Pomoxis explains that there's been a series of very large explosions

near Atlantis, and they

seem to be getting closer

and closer, and if one of these explosions

goes off right underneath the city,

it's going to destroy Atlantis.

The entire city will be ruined, people will die.

They need Aquaman's
