Welcome back for Aquaman in Aquaman number 17.

Our Aquaman story today is the man who vanquished Aquaman, written by Jack Miller, featuring art by Nick Hardy.

Apologies for the long delay in episodes. I am moving to Chicago in two weeks, so I've spent the last week going to look for apartments, doing all sorts of things, getting movers.

It's been a hectic a couple of weeks that

meant that I didn't have a lot of time to record a podcast. But now I've sort of got a lot of

details figured out. So I'll be able to record some, and then October 1st, I'll be unemployed.

So I will have plenty of time to record a podcast.

Don't worry, though.

My wife's got a great job. I won't starve or anything like that. So no need to concern yourself. Let's begin with this story. You need to concern yourself with what Aquaman's up to. Look, I'm already stumbling over my words. I haven't done this as well on. This feels awkward. What is Aquaman up to? Well, he's traveled to the other-dimensional

water world ruled by Queen Mara, where they have erected a Aquaman statue, which is what they do

for all of their close friends. There's an ulterior motive to this, though, as they're unveiling the statue.

The assistant to Mara makes a reference to it would be nice to have a royal wedding eventually.

And he looks back and forth between him, is going to happen soon?

And Mara starts stammering, why, and Aquaman's going to well.

And Mara says it's usually up to the man to propose this, building a statue

for someone and then sort of implying that they should marry the ruler of your world.

That's a lot of pressure.

That's putting a lot of pressure on.

And Aquaman's just kind of smiling, like, well, you know, one of these days.
