Welcome back for Aquaman and Adventure Comics number 242, the November 1957 issue feature cover

penciled by Kurt Swan, inked by Stan K, added it by Mort Wisinger, and our story for Aquaman is The Amazing Feats of Aquamelvin, featuring Art by Ramon of Radin. It got bumped back up to the second feature, because when you have a story featuring Aquamelvin, you cannot park that shit in the back of the book. You got to move that up. It's got to follow Superboy. You got to have a one-two punch with a dud green arrow story at the end.

And who is Aquaman? We'll get to that almost immediately because they don't mess around in this

book. She got to love about old comics. They get right to it. Right to it. It's morning. Aquaman

answers a SOS from a nearby boat, clams aboard, what does he find? A doctor and a patient

and the patient is a clown. And by that, I mean, not like a clown on vacation where he's not

wearing his costume and he's trying to be serious and he's taking a break from clowning.

It's a straight up clown with the big shoes and the nose and like a makeup on and the neck, the frilly neck thing,

he's on the boat.

And he was knocked unconscious.

Why is there a doctor and a clown on a boat by themselves?

Who knows?

Doesn't matter.

Are they friends?

Well, yes, they are because the doctor says, refers to the clown as his friend.

What happened to the clown? He was knocked unconscious. How? It doesn't matter. We don't need to know. But we do know is that the doctor is adamant that the only way to help his unconscious clown friend is for Aquaman to give him a blood transfusion. This sounds like a scam. This sounds like something someone would say to you on the Graham bus to try and scam some money out of you.

In this case, it's blood.

It's not a scam, though.

The doctor happens to have blood transfusion equipment on board.

And to really appreciate this story, you have to keep in mind.
