Today we're going to be talking about Jimmy the genie, originally printed in Superman's pal Jimmy

Olson, number 42, written by Robert Bernstein, pencil by Kurt Swan, inked by Crick Flessel,

becomes a genie. They're not going to trick you with that. But oh, how he gets there and what he

does once he gets there. So exciting. We begin, Superman carrying Jimmy Olson over the

Arabian desert. He has a scoop for Jimmy using his x-ray vision. Superman has uncovered

an ancient tomb that no one knows about.

And as the culturally sensitive Superman will do, he's just going to raid it for all of its goods.

So using his super breath, he blows away the sand that's been covering the tomb, leads Jimmy Olson down into it, you know, to smash in his way through.

Now they're going to gather up all these relics, all these important cultural relics, bring him back to Metropolis, throw him in a museum. That's what Superman does, but first, he's going to allow Jimmy Olson, not trained in archaeology, not, probably not a great knowledge of history, to take the relics home and just photograph them in his apartment. Of course, that's what you would do before he hands it over in a museum. Superman lays out his cape. They just throw everything into the cape.

I'm sure at least 20% of it breaks. But hey, listen, when you can find a whole tomb full of stuff

of ancient cultural treasures, 20% of it gets smashed. He's still got a great 80% there. You don't got time to get a box and pack up. Just throw it in a cape. He'll carry it back. Superman carries Jimmy Olson back, drops him off at his apartment, makes Jimmy promise not to tamper with him other than putting him in his apartment and taking photos of them. Jimmy promises once Superman leaves inside Jimmy's apartment.

He's got all the relics lined up on his kitchen table,

and he's taking photographs of him.

He's got a major toothache, and it's distracting him.

He wraps the old-timey thing around your head,

somehow like a white cloth.
