This past Saturday, a flight from Los Angeles to Shanghai had to turn around over the Pacific.

It was already set to be a 14-hour flight, and they turned around about an hour and 45 minutes into it.

Then they landed in San Francisco to swap out the crew.

Now, keep in mind, they got to San Francisco about three hours after taking

off from L.A. Well, five hours after that, they finally took off again and ended up in Shanghai, six hours

late. Now, for the passengers' trouble, United gave them a $15 meal voucher. And for anyone who's

ever bought food at an airport, you know that a $15 food voucher adds up to absolutely nothing.

Anyway, the reason that the flight turned around and was delayed was because someone forgot their passport.

And usually an airline would not turn around for that kind of thing.

But in this case, the person to question was the pilot.

Jesus.
