Now, Vanessa stole the ban, and then later she sold the van for scrap at a local salvage yard.

After a very short investigation, police were able to link the crime to her.

Now, when they contacted her, Vanessa, obviously, she denied knowing anything about it,

stating that, yeah, I sold the van for scrap, but she didn't know it was stolen.

Now, the problem was they had some pretty good evidence.

And it's not that they had photographic evidence.

She didn't leave her fingerprints at the scene or anything like that.

The cops got a hold of her personal journal where she wrote, and I quote, totally stole a car today.
