Happy Thursday. And for me and that's fan, this is an anxiety-ridden day because it is

trade deadline day in Major League Baseball. And if you're a Nats fan, all that is meant,

it's like riding a roller coaster. You're just hoping they don't do something to make you

throw up on the roller

coaster. And in this case, do they going to trade away one of their young stars, particularly

McKenzie Gore? I'm modestly optimistic that they're not going to do this. I could argue

whatever, whatever they think Gore's value is in a trade, this trade deadline,

is probably the same as it is one year from now, but at least pretend that you care about the fans.

Pretend that you want to build a contender before the end of the decade.

Trading away Mackenzie Gore is surrender,

waving the white flag, and sending the message to season ticket holders.

Don't bother.

But I'm modestly optimistic that they know that there is that the,

that the juice isn't worth the squeeze in this one

unless the cubs offer p. Crow Armstrong. Beyond that, there is not a trade that I would accept

for McKenzie Gore. So that's that's how I'm spending my Thursday constantly waiting for that

notification or hoping that notification doesn't come.

But I will say generally as a baseball fan, this is usually a really exciting day,

unless it's your team that's on the chopping block.

And then suddenly it's nothing but anxiety, nothing but bad news on that front.
