turn please in the scriptures to matthew the sixth chapter

i don't think i'm starting a series tonight, but I won't guarantee that.

So I have these ideas about doing a single.

And then it becomes a double and a triple and a dozen.

But that's one of the benefits of a church, right? You can come back and you can benefit. When I travel, you know, I have to do it in one or two sessions, whatever.

But I can just keep preaching to you. We can just keep going.

We're at home

at the house. Matthew 6.

In the words of the master himself,

and they are so wonderful.

Matthew 625,

Jesus said,

therefore I say to you,

take no thought for your life.

Now, when he says take no thought,

the understood descriptor is anxious thought.

Take no anxious thought, or you could say worried thought. No fearful, anxious, worried thought. Doesn't mean you can't think about your life. But you need to identify when you've gone beyond thinking and planning and you're fearing

and worrying.

You need to be able to see when you've crossed that line.

It's okay to think about what we're going to do and think about what's coming up, make plans for it.

But when you cross the line and you're not just thinking about it, you're worrying about it.
