On August 20, 2015, a man in Carrollwood, Florida, heard the sound of three gunshots

going off, followed by a blood-curdling scream. Rushing to his window to see what was going on,

he saw a shadowy figure running away from his neighbor's home, and when he looked back towards

where they came from, he saw

what looked like a body lying on the ground. He rushed to the phone and quickly dialed 911.

First responders rushed to the scene, but when they arrived, they found that the victim,

56-year-old Miriam Dinez, was already deceased. She had a bullet wound to the neck and

torso, one of which was delivered from just two feet away. While paramedics dealt with Miriam's

body, police took a step inside of her home and with the front door wide open, they stumbled upon a second victim

wrapped up in a comforter. It was 67-year-old Robert Dinez, Miriam's husband, and he too

had a bullet wound to the neck. However, unlike his wife, he appeared to have been dead for about
