| 0:35.0 | quote, severe COVID-19 was strongly associated with the number of drug classes dispensed. |

| 0:46.0 | Right? So poly-meaning multiple are more or many. |
| 0:50.0 | So the more drug classes prescription drugs that people are on, |
| 0:54.0 | the worse their outcomes were to this particular virus. |
| 0:57.0 | But this isn't just for this virus, this is for a multitude of infectious diseases. |
| 1:02.0 | There's something about the intake of prescription drugs that reduces our resilience against viruses. |
| 1:11.0 | Now, of course, there's a component of underlying chronic diseases that the drugs are being used to treat, |
| 1:16.0 | but the drugs themselves, according to this data, are part of the problem. |
| 1:21.0 | The researchers found that the more classes of drugs people were taking, |
| 1:25.0 | the greater their risk of severe infections. |
| 1:28.0 | Some of the worst effects from COVID were seen in people who were on, these were the top three drugs that were noted. |

| 1:37.0 | Now, what can be going on here with anti-psychotic drugs? |
| 1:40.0 | So this is looking at the treatment of a wide range of mental health issues, anxiety, depression, bipolar, the list goes on and on. |
