Summary

Most people know that obesity is a prevalent and pressing issue in our country today. A smaller subset of folks understand the gravity of this issue and the fact that weight issues lead to a higher susceptibility to COVID-19. Today, we're going to start by addressing some of the surprising characteristics that

We know that body fat is a highly evolved system for storing excess energy on our bodies

to be utilized when needed, but what happens when we begin to store too much of it?

And what can we actually do to find a healthy body fat ratio?

First is important to understand what body fat actually is in this context.

When talking about storing extra energy on our bodies, that's referring to a specific

fat cell community called storage fats.

Now I use the term fat cell community intentionally because storage fats, though it's dispersed

at various places throughout our bodies, it functions as a singular organ.

That's right, it functions as a singular organ interconnected with the network of nerve

cells, immune cells, and our body fat composition in this community also produces its own hormones,
