Hope you're having an amazing year. I want to thank you guys so much for all your support.

Truly, truly amazing. It's really hard to believe, and I love doing this.

It's challenging, getting it done and making it happen with everything going on,

but it's really something that means a lot to me, especially with episodes like the one you're about to hear today with my guest, T.J. Miller.

When I think of T.J., I think of a guy who is contrarian, unconventional, not really a guy who takes the advice of others that much or goes with the crowd.

He's one of those people that my mother used to say dances to the beat of a different

drummer. And he can do anything. He can do acting. He can do voiceovers. He can do stand-up. He just

has a way of really, really presenting his own original,

distinctive improvisational and unconventional voice.

And when you're this kind of artist, it's not always the best thing for you.

People don't always treat you the same way.

People think you're sometimes being a little bit off or flippant.

Sometimes people think you're being disrespectful.

But to me, I respect somebody who isn't afraid to shake things up.

Isn't afraid to make things happen in their way.

Isn't afraid to lose something to be able to be their own person

and hopefully gain something more in the future.

It's a different style, it's a different way of being,

it's a different concept of how to be with people, how to treat people, how to navigate the business.

And quite honestly, I don't follow that way of the business as much as he does. Although I don't like to go along with

the mainstream either. But I'm not as far over as he is. But that's probably why he's where he is, and I never got to do what he does.
