T.J. Dillshaw getting suspended for testing positive for EPO. I'm not a huge UFC fan or anything

like that. I do tune in once in a while to the events, but I don't follow it. But this particular

topic intrigued me because I've seen a very prominent and common occurrence in the UFC,

which is illogical use of PEDs for performance enhancing purposes.

So by that I mean very strange choices by these guys' coaches of which kind of compounds to put them on to enhance their fighting capabilities.

A couple of good examples.

Anderson Silva tested positive for Drostanalone.

If you know what Drostanalone is, it's Masteron.

In a bodybuilding context, Mastron is typically used for drying out for a competition or antagonizing

estrogen.

In an actual fighting context, it's not very useful,

to be quite honest. It's a poor muscle builder. It dries out the physique essentially and antagonizes

estrogen will inhibit joint lubrication. It's not going to build stupid amounts of strength either.

It's just not like it's a supporting compound

typically even in a muscle gaining phase if you wanted to use like a dhter dhs derivative can serve a

function in terms of freeing up bound testosterone to shbg and to free more usable free testosterone

stuff like that but it's like at the end of the day if you're trying

to be the best fighter in the world is master on like the best choice of steroid for you like probably

not and then there's even more nonsensical choices like john jones tested positive for i think it was
