Welcome to the program today. My name is Mono Gonzalez and I'm here with a special guest, Dr. Titus Kennedy,

and he has written a book which I love and have had in my library, you know, since it first came out, entitled,

Unearthing the Bible 101 Archaeological Discoveries that bring the Bible to life. So welcome Dr. Titus Kennedy.

Thank you, Mondo. It's great to be here.

You know, it's amazing as you know you think, okay, well, why are here we are prophecy watchers,

why are we talking about archaeology? And I think there's a couple reasons because our main goal

is to show the reliability of scripture, which ultimately points us to the reliability of the gospel.

We know that the gospel is the only way of salvation for the entire world,

and so the gospel is written down in a book,

and it's founded around a person, Jesus Christ, who was resurrected,

an act, an act in history.

And so when we think about a prophecy

and the way that God had demonstrated all the prophecies written in advance, he did that

in order to show the truthfulness and really the supernatural nature of the Bible. And so when

we look at archaeology, archaeology has the same principle there that we're looking for archaeology to help provide historical reliability and confirmation and correlation, all these other things.

I mean, we know that archaeology doesn't prove that Jesus was resurrected, but God wants us to use our brains, and he gives testimony to this.

And what brought you to write this particular unearthing the Bible?

Well, this book was brought about because I started going around to different museums

and researching and photographing various artifacts,

especially those that had a director, even

indirect connection to the Bible. And I was doing this during my studies. So this was before I was

even quote unquote a professional archaeologist. And I began compiling this database of photographs of artifacts,
