you know paul didn't have tons to say to titus titus must have been doing that good work you know

you didn't have that long drawn out thing forus. He's got three chapters worth.

As we alluded to last episode, Paul is going to tell Titus, you know, this might be one of my least favorite sections, at least the beginning.

I love the second half of this.

The first, the way he starts in chapter three is a convicting thing to yours truly.

It goes against every fiber of my being.

So Paul is going to tell Titus, hey, remind Dan that this is the way it needs to be.

That's right.

If we could frame this chapter two, well, chapter one really deals with what the qualifications are for overseers, elders, etc.

Then you have chapter two that deals with kind of what you should expect from families in the church and how they interact with each other, what things look like in the home.

And now in chapter three, he's going to expand it out to how we interact with the broader world. And there's

not many verses that deal with that, but there's a few right up front here. And as you said, Dan,

the first verse is one of the tougher verses to actually adhere to because he says, remind them

to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good

work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy

toward all people.
