titus chapter two we got titus getting some instruction from paul was letting him know that the

what he needed to have done by the older men,

the younger men, the older women, the younger women, the slaves. All in service of the gospel,

though. It's like, hey, this is what we're going to do. This is the house rules. Like, you're part of

this family now. This is how we'd like everyone to be. And this is all, of course, not just because we're just trying to be the nicest and the best and the most moral, but this is in service to the gospel.

He concludes that sort of section with the word four.

So that's all like, I say all that, because what?

Because the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation for all people.

Indeed. This is one of my favorite passages in all of the New Testament, at least, Dan and Donovan,

because I think when we read it initially, it's kind of counterintuitive. It's one of those

passages that doesn't follow necessarily what we would expect to hear. After we've had 10 verses of Paul saying,

this is what I want you to teach older men, women, et cetera, et cetera, to do.

Now he tells us basically like what the fuel will be,

what actually does inspire a life that wants to be obedient

or wants to follow these instructions.
