in science, technology, and medicine. And that's with me Chris Smith. And this

week we've got part two of our Titans of Science interview with Helen Sharman, the first

Britain in space, where she tells me about the ins and outs of working on a space station. Those who tuned in last week will remember Helen giving us a fascinating account of the

build-up to and launching of the rocket that carried her up to the mere space station.

But once she got there, what was day-to-day life like?

That moment when the acceleration stops, the g-forces fell away and you realize that you were floating. That must also be pretty elating.

First when the final rocket engine is deticent.

You're right, that's when we do feel weightless,

but we're still strapped into our seats.

So it takes another two and a half hours

before we've checked that everything is safe enough for us to
