For Tinker Class is about to begin!

Welcome back to Tinker Class! It's day two, and we're ready to get this party started!

But first, if you missed yesterday's class, take a pause and go back and listen to yesterday's episode to catch up.

Don't worry, we'll also be here when you come back.

This week, our project is inspired by our own Wow in the World episode, Rad Race.

In that episode, we learned scientists got rats to drive homemade cars.

Our challenge for you this week is to create a fast-moving car for your favorite stuffed animal.

A car that could help lead them to victory in the Mindy 500.

Today's step in the tinkering process is all about exploring.

Look around your home to see what materials you can find that might help you in your car creation.

Rade your recycling bins for things like plastic lids, bottle caps, straws, plastic cups.

And other materials like aluminum foil, pencils, duct tape, and rubber bands, those might also be helpful.

And don't forget the cardboard. You could never have too much cardboard when you're tinkering.

And once you gather all your tinkering materials and tools, start sketching a design plan for how they might work together

to create a fast working and safe car for your stuffed animal.
